It has been an exciting year for Vein Clinics of America as we joined several new communities and grew in existing ones across the country. As we head into the last few weeks of the year, we wanted to recognize all the new faces and places that helped Vein Clinics of America flourish in 2016:
Dr. Afreen Pappa – River Oaks, TX: Dr. Pappa joined Vein Clinics of America in early May. Dr. Pappa is a long-standing member of the Houston community and was thrilled to become the lead physician of the River Oaks clinic. As a busy mom of three and someone who has previously battled venous disease, Dr. Pappa found relief through treatment at Vein Clinics of America and was excited to join the talented community of physicians.
Dr. Joseph Baker – Overland Park, KS: Vein Clinics of America welcomed Dr. Baker this past summer in early July. Dr. Baker, a graduate of The University of Kansas and KCU School of Medicine, was excited to become part of the Vein Clinics of America family after a rewarding career in family medicine including obstetrical services, diagnostic upper, lower endoscopy and emergency room coverage.
Dr. Christos Pappas – Wilton, CT: Towards the end of the summer, Vein Clinics of America welcomed Dr. Pappas to the Wilton clinic, one of many clinics located in Connecticut. Dr. Pappas was drawn to Vein Clinics of America because of the lack of awareness of non-invasive venous procedures. He is eager to better educate the Wilton community on the treatment therapy offered at Vein Clinics of America.
Dr. Kevin Kern – Schaumburg, IL: Our most recent addition, Dr. Kern, will be leading the clinic in Oakbrook in early 2017. In the 16 years leading up to his appointment at Vein Clinics of America, Dr. Kern held the position of emergency medicine attending physician at some of the largest hospitals in the Chicagoland area.
North Haven, CT: The new clinic in North Haven opened on October 27, 2016. This is the first Vein Clinics of America location in the North Haven community and we are excited to get to know the residents in the area. Dr. Jiyong Ahn is the lead physician at the North Haven clinic, which he joined after spending two years providing care throughout the Vein Clinics of America network. We are honored to have his vast experience available for the community.
Alpharetta, GA: On November 16, 2016, Vein Clinics of America opened the brand-new Alpharetta clinic location. This is the second clinic in the area, with both being run by the talented Dr. Todd Greer. We are thrilled to be expanding in the community to better serve our patients’ demand for treatment.
Village Crossing – Skokie, IL: Vein Clinics of America was excited to open our new Skokie clinic on November 30, 2016. In response to the overwhelming need in the community, this was the second clinic in the community and is a great way for us to better aid the wonderful residents of Skokie. Dr. Robert Shapiro’s strong ties to the North Shore communities made him a perfect fit as the lead physician of both Skokie clinics.
Kennesaw, GA: A few weeks ago, Vein Clinics of America opened our second clinic location in Kennesaw, GA. Dr. Chad Aleman, who is currently lead physician in Marietta, will also serve as the lead physician at the new clinic. His passion for educating the community and helping residents better understand vein disease makes Dr. Aleman a vital part of the Vein Clinics of America family.
At Vein Clinics of America, our job, first and foremost, is to provide world-class care and education to patients across the country. We want to thank you for a wonderful year and look forward to serving you in 2017. Wishing you and your family health and happiness as we venture into the New Year.
