A common question we hear from patients before they come to us for treatment is “How much will this cost?” They are often pleasantly surprised to hear that most of our patients have their treatment covered by insurance.
During your first visit to Vein Clinics of America, you will meet with one of our physicians for a consultation appointment. This appointment is billed to your insurance and the cost to you is typically the co-pay you pay when visiting a doctor’s office. At this appointment we will examine you, discuss your diagnosis and treatment options, and review your insurance benefits with you.
Varicose vein treatment is often covered by insurance. In the past, insurance companies were more apt to cover the traditional treatment for vein disease -- surgery. But now, most are providing coverage for ELT as a primary treatment and sclerotherapy as a secondary treatment. Of course, patients and their physicians need to illustrate that treatment is medically necessary. Luckily, Vein Clinics of America is now in network with most major insurance plans. Since treating vein disease is our specialty, our staff is highly experienced in working directly with insurance companies to ensure you’re getting the treatment that’s covered. We will work with you to maximize your insurance benefits.
When insurance does not cover the cost of treatment, Vein Clinics of America offers a Care Credit option to patients who qualify. Care Credit is a credit plan that can be used as a payment option for certain health-related expenses not covered by insurance. You can even use it for co-payments and deductibles.
With Care Credit:
• You have access to a revolving line of credit for medical expenses--for yourself or family members.
• The approval process is quick and easy. The application process can be completed over the phone or online.
• Almost all of our patients qualify for 12-months free interest.
• Credit decisions are almost instantaneous. Your account number will be available immediately and ready for use.
Our Office Managers are trained and equipped to assist patients with the application process right in the office. If you would like more information about this option, please call 866-923-VEIN (8346) or download the application.
