Varicose and Spider Vein Treatment

Cynthia A. Long, M.D. graduated from the University of Arkansas, College of Medicine where she also did a General Surgery and Transitional Internship at the University Medical Sciences Center. After which she finished a Radiology Research Fellowship in Interventional Radiology. She then went on to complete a Diagnostic Radiology Residency at the University of Oklahoma Health Sciences Center and an Interventional Radiology Fellowship at Vanderbilt University Medical Center. Dr. Long is board certified by the American Board of Radiology and possesses a Certificate of Added Qualification in Vascular and Interventional Radiology.

Prior to joining Vein Clinics of America (VCA), Dr. Long worked as a Diagnostic and Interventional Radiologist in hospitals in Georgia, Oklahoma and Texas. Most recently she worked with a local radiology group in Dallas.

Upon joining VCA, Dr. Long underwent training in VCA’s approach to diagnostic and therapeutic phlebology with emphasis in the percutaneous treatment of varicose vein disease and related disorders. During this time, she received additional training in ultrasound-guided foam sclerotherapy and endovenous laser treatment, also referred to as ELT or EVLT.

Her existing Interventional experience and refined use of minimally invasive procedures allows her to meet the needs of each patient by treating a wide spectrum of venous insufficiency from the smallest spider vein to the largest varicose vein, in a comfortable outpatient environment devoted exclusively to the treatment of vein disorders.
