Dr. Zambuto received his medical degree from Harvard Medical School. He completed both his residency in diagnostic radiology and a fellowship in Vascular Interventional Radiology at Massachusetts General Hospital. While a resident at Massachusetts General Hospital he received the Stanley Moore Wyman, M.D. award. Prior to joining the Vein Clinics of America (VCA) network, Dr. Zambuto served as Chief Resident in the Department of Radiology and Chief Fellow in Magnetic Resonance Imaging at Massachusetts General Hospital. Most recently, he was the Director of Interventional Radiology at Hartford Hospital.

Minimally Invasive Treatment

Dr. Zambuto's comprehensive, minimally invasive approach includes ultrasound-guided sclerotherapy as well as endovenous laser treatment (ELT). Neither option requires hospitalization or surgery. Instead, each is performed in the physician's office. You can be back on your feet resuming normal activities the same day. Dr. Zambuto also performs procedures for male varicoceles, pelvic congestion, and uterine fibroids.

Jiyong Ahn, M.D. graduated from Downstate Medical Center in Brooklyn, NY, where he also completed his residency and chief residency in diagnostic radiology. Thereafter, Dr. Ahn underwent fellowship training in cardiovascular interventional radiology at Cornell Medical Center in New York, NY.

Prior to joining Vein Clinics of America (VCA), Dr. Ahn held faculty positions at Mount Sinai Medical Center and Albany Medical Center. He was also the Attending Chief of Interventional Radiology at White Plains Hospital. Finally, Dr. Ahn transitioned from his role as Head of Research & Development with Isaac Medical Device into his current role at VCA.

Upon joining VCA, Dr. Ahn underwent further extensive training in phlebology, the diagnosis and treatment of varicose vein disease and related disorders. During this time, he was trained in ultrasound-guided foam sclerotherapy and endovenous laser treatment, also referred to as ELT or EVLT.
