Kevin L. McChord, MD
Varicose and Spider Vein Treatment
Kevin L. McChord, M.D. received his medical degree from the Wright State University School of Medicine in Dayton, OH. He served his residency at St. Elizabeth Medical Center in Covington, KY and is board certified in family medicine and a diplomate of the American Board of Venous and Lymphatic Medicine.
Prior to joining the Vein Clinics of America (VCA) network, he practiced at the Doctors Urgent Care offices in the Cincinnati area and was involved in clinical trials with Sterling Research Group as both a principal investigator and sub-investigator. He is a member of the American Academy of Family Physicians, American Academy of Pain Management, the Academy of Medicine in Cincinnati and the American College of Phlebology.
Upon joining VCA, Dr. McChord underwent extensive training in phlebology, the diagnosis and treatment of varicose vein disease and related disorders. During this time, he was trained in ultrasound-guided foam sclerotherapy. This is an advanced form of sclerotherapy, where a foamed solution is directly injected into the varicose vein, causing it to close off.
Dr. McChord is a specialist in Endovenous Laser Treatment, or ELT. ELT is a minimally invasive laser treatment that requires no hospitalization and no complicated surgery.
His refined use of sclerotherapy, combined with ELT, allows him to meet the needs of each patient by treating the smallest spider vein to the largest ropelike varicose vein.
“I am pleased to offer my patients the most current techniques for diagnosing and treating their chronic vein problems. Together with my clinical staff, we provide comprehensive analysis and treatment for each patient. By providing the best quality care, our patients experience relief from their symptoms.”
Dr. McChord is supported by an exceptional clinic and administrative team dedicated to the treatment of chronic venous disorders.
