Minimally Invasive Treatment
Dr. Buckner's comprehensive, minimally invasive approach includes ultrasound-guided sclerotherapy, as well as Endovenous Laser Treatment (ELT). Neither option requires hospitalization or surgery. Instead, each is performed in the physician's office. You can be back on your feet resuming normal activities the same day.

He has received numerous awards including being named one of Washingtonian Magazine's 'Top Doctors' in 2010; he also received this honor in 2005 and 2008. In addition, he was recognized in 2009 as Consumer Magazine's 'Top Radiologist.'
Upon joining the Vein Clinics of America (VCA) network, Dr. Buckner completed a preceptorship in phlebology, the diagnosis and treatment of varicose vein disease and related disorders.
As an interventional radiologist, Dr. Buckner also specializes in a number of other minimally invasive, targeted diagnostics and treatments using image guidance for conditions such as pelvic venous congestion and varicocele; he also is highly skilled in performing large joint injections, diagnostic aspirations, ultrasounds and ultrasound-guided biopsies of the liver, kidney and other organs.
