Minimally Invasive Treatment
Dr Banker’s comprehensive, minimally invasive approach includes ultrasound-guided sclerotherapy, as well as endovenous laser treatment (ELT). Neither option requires hospitalization or surgery. Instead, each is performed in the physician's office. You can be back on your feet resuming normal activities the same day.
Experience Matters
The Dumfries location is a certified ICAVL lab. Prior to joining the Vein Clinics of America (VCA) network, Dr. Banker practiced adult cardiac surgery at Albany Medical Center (Albany Medical College) and St. Peter's Hospital in Albany, N.Y., performing over 2000 open-heart procedures. He was on staff at the Morristown Memorial hospital and went on to become an Assistant Professor of Surgery and the Director of Cardiac Surgery at The University Hospital-UMDNJ where he trained in Robotic Surgery. Dr. Banker joined the staff of Mary Washington Hospital at the Virginia Heart and Vascular Institute in Fredericksburg, Va. and most recently practiced Phlebology, the medical specialty of the diagnosis and treatment of varicose vein disease, in the Maryland area.
