Minimally Invasive Treatment
Dr. Schoonover's comprehensive, minimally invasive approach includes ultrasound-guided sclerotherapy, as well as endovenous laser treatment (ELT). Neither option requires hospitalization or surgery. Instead, each is performed in the physician's office. You can be back on your feet resuming normal activities the same day.
Experience Matters
Prior to joining Vein Clinics of America, Dr. Schoonover practiced family medicine in Yorktown, Indiana. He also spent four years in the United States Air Force, where he achieved the rank of Major. He is a member of the American Academy of Family Physicians and attained Fellow status in 2006. Dr. Schoonover was published in The Journal of Family Practice in October 2009 with his article, "3 Alternatives to Standard Varicose Vein Treatment."
