Minimally Invasive Treatment
Dr. Nellestein's comprehensive, minimally invasive approach includes ultrasound-guided sclerotherapy as well as endovenous laser treatment (ELT). Neither option requires hospitalization or surgery. Instead, each is performed in the physician's office. You can be back on your feet resuming normal activities the same day.
Prior to joining Vein Clinics of America (VCA), Dr. Nellestein was Chief of Cardiothoracic Surgery at the Tripler Army Hospital. He was previously a cardiovascular and vascular surgeon at St. Mary’s Hospital in Jefferson City, MO. For the past 16 years Dr. Nellestein has been at Heartland Regional Medical Center where he has held several positions including Medical Directorships for Vascular Surgery and Cardiothoracic Surgery. He has been a practicing Phlebologist for the past 2 years.

Prior to joining Vein Clinics of America (VCA), Theresa practiced as a registered nurse at St. Luke’s Hospital in Kansas City, MO. Most recently she was a family nurse practitioner at Mosaic Life Care in Gladstone, MO. Upon joining VCA, Theresa underwent extensive training in Phlebology, the diagnosis and treatment of vein disease and related disorders, and Ultrasound-Guided Sclerotherapy.
