Tracy is a marketing executive who enjoys traveling, cooking and reading. Because of cramping in her legs, she couldn’t be as physically active as she wanted to be. She also knew that varicose veins ran in her family.
"I had a lot of aching in my upper legs and occasional cramping in my lower legs. My legs would ache if I had been walking all day, and I wasn’t able to sit in a hot tub or a plane for a long period of time. I also wasn’t able to do some yoga positions because my circulation was getting worse and my feet would go numb. Varicose veins run in my family, so I wanted to have my legs checked out."
"When Tracy came to Vein Clinics of America, her legs were painful and she was experiencing muscle cramps and Restless Leg Syndrome. My examination of her leg revealed bulging varicose veins that were part of the Great Saphenous Vein system extending from her upper leg to her foot."
Tracy says, "I felt like I was in very good hands since my doctor specialized only in vein treatment. Once we started treatment, I noticed immediate relief from my condition."
Her Physician says, "Tracy’s larger veins that could not be seen on her skin’s surface were treated with sclerotherapy under ultrasound imaging. Her smaller surface veins were treated with visual sclerotherapy."
Tracy says, "My legs feel very good now. It’s no longer painful for me to spend a lot of time on my feet."
Her Physician says, "Tracy had excellent results with elimination of her symptoms of discomfort and Restless Legs Syndrome (RLS), and her legs have returned to normal appearance."

Meredith is a small business owner whose varicose veins caused her pressure and pain for decades. She didn’t seek treatment sooner because she didn’t think any good options were available.
"I was so pleased to find someone who could treat my varicose veins. I had heard for years that there were no good treatment options. My legs hurt and looked bruised. I wasn’t able to stand for long periods of time and had to prop my legs up often in order to get some relief from the pressure and pain."
"Meredith came to our clinic because she had developed a painful blood clot (Thrombophlebitis) in a varicose vein present in her right leg. She reported a 30-year history of having painful varicose veins in her leg and had experienced a blood clot in the leg six years prior. My examination of her leg revealed bulging varicose veins that were part of the Great Saphenous Vein system extending down her entire leg."
Meredith says, "It was the easiest, least painful medical procedure I've ever had. I wish I had done it years ago. The only surprise I had during treatment was that my insurance covered it!"
Dr. Gray says, "I recommended treatment to the leg using Duplex ultrasound-guided sclerotherapy to eliminate the varicose vein problem and prevent future episodes of painful Thrombophlebitis. Meredith received treatment for the vein problems using ultrasound-guided sclerotherapy. She responded very favorably to the treatment with initial closure and eventual absorption of the diseased varicose vein."
Meredith says, "Both my legs feel normal and are free of pain. I'm so glad I came to Vein Clinics of America. I highly recommend it to others."
Dr. Gray says, "Meredith was seen in follow-up throughout the year after her treatment to monitor her healing response. Ultrasound imaging performed at those visits confirmed the healing response and the elimination of the treated varicose vein segment. On her last visit she reported that her varicose veins were gone, her leg felt much improved and she had experienced no further episodes of Thrombophlebitis."

Mary is a radio DJ in Kansas City. She has been co-hosting a morning country radio program for over 20 years. Though her listeners can’t see her on the radio, she was insecure about her spider veins and wouldn’t wear shorts or skirts when making public appearances.
Several years ago, I started noticing these little, tiny veins popping up on my legs. I don’t look my age but my legs were starting to give me away. I was self-conscious about the way they looked and constantly had to cover them up. When I decided to do stop hiding and do something about my spider veins, I wanted to go to the experts and 30 years experience says a lot!
Mary came to Vein Clinics of America with various patches of telangiectasias, or spider veins, affecting both legs, but slightly more predominate on the left leg. She complained of intermittent leg restlessness and occasional leg aching. I recommended she have 3-4 sclerotherapy sessions per leg.
"I feel like I’ve known everybody at Vein Clinics of America forever…VERY friendly and so nice."
There were a few days immediately after the slerotherapy that I wore shorts. There was a tiny bit of bruising but that quickly faded away.
"I never knew how easily you can get rid of the problem. I wanted legs that didn’t have to be hidden and I wouldn’t trust my legs to anybody but Vein Clinics of America."
"My legs are looking so much better…I love to wear skirts again!"
