The Vein Clinics of America story began almost 30 years ago, when a determined doctor set out to treat a personal and family affliction. He searched for an effective, minimally invasive treatment for vein disease, and then used the extensive knowledge of injection treatments he had gained to launch Vein Clinics of America in Chicago in 1981.
He amassed a team of talented health care providers who quickly became leaders in the field of Phlebology, the medical specialty for treating vein disease. The Vein Clinics of America has since grown to include more than 44 locations and is now the largest medical group in the country dedicated exclusively to the minimally invasive treatment of vein disease. In addition, Vein Clinics of America's leadership and commitment to excellence and innovation in venous disease treatment has helped to elevate Phlebology from a little understood discipline to a medical specialty that the American Medical Association formally recognizes.
