Vein Clinics of America is excited to announce the addition of a new physician to the Houston – River Oaks clinic, on Monday, August 15. Dr. Afreen Pappa, MD, will be joining the growing network of physicians at Vein Clinics of America specializing in the various treatments of venous disease.

Dr. Pappa is a long-standing member of the Houston community. With a history in family medicine and aesthetics, Dr. Pappa has generated a network of dedicated patients who find her hands-on approach and investment in their overall health to be truly unique. Prior to joining Vein Clinics of America, Dr. Pappa was an Assistant Professor and Associate Family Medicine Residency Program Director at Baylor College of Medicine as well as the Medical Director and primary physician at JAVĀNI Centers for Wellness in Stafford, TX. Most recently, she was a Center Physician at Pre-Diabetes Centers in Southwest, TX specializing in pancreatic, hormonal and vascular deficiencies.

Upon joining VCA, Dr. Pappa underwent extensive training in phlebology, the diagnosis and treatment of varicose vein disease and related disorders. During this time she  was trained in ultrasound-guided foam sclerotherapy and endovenous laser treatment (ELT or ELVT).

Dr. Pappa believes the specialized venous treatments at Vein Clinics of America can be even more successful when they work in harmony with lifestyle modification techniques. As a busy mom of three and someone who has previously battled venous disease, Dr. Pappa found relief through treatment at Vein Clinics of America and is excited to be a part of the talented community of physicians. She is eager to get to know the patients of the Houston – River Oaks clinic and share her personal story with venous disease along with the vast knowledge she gained while working at Baylor Medical Center.
